Pulp, or paper print is traditionally
the most commonly used form of visual advertising
and promotion. From flyers to brochures, posters to
leaflets, when you want to get the word out, you put
it down on paper. But is it still effective?
Many would say no, as increasingly
more cost effective methods are available. Letterheads
can be created in email format and emails don't suffer
the delays in delivery and huge costs involved with
paper print. Business cards can now be sent as text
messages.
The main reason why paper print
is still a necessity is down to customer habits, and
in order to satisfy our customers we need to supply
their every need. Customers will visit a website and
request to be sent a brochure through the post, even
though all the information is sitting there in front
of them. There is still much comfort and faith gained
when things are written down on paper, so we need
to respect this.
At the NMF we believe there is
still a market for paper print as long as its used
sparingly and in the most cost- effective ways possible.
On all your print, you should advertise your other
methods of contact, directing clients to both your
website your email address and any possible sms campaigns
you are running.
